Having first selected this whisky as new make, we then matured it in a specially-selected oak cask. During this whisky’s aging we regularly tasted cask samples so as to judge its progress; whether to keep longer in the same cask, or to recast, or to decide if it was ready to bottle. Then finally, and more importantly, to decide if the cask was ready to be enjoyed as Ingelred whisky.
